January can be a difficult month for many of us, with the fun of Christmas behind us and the blossom and sunshine still a few weeks away. But at Brogdale Farm, a number of our tenants have some great remedies to help beat the January blues.
During recent lockdowns, many of us have discovered the therapeutic benefits of spending time outdoors. Surprisingly, January and February are the perfect time to enjoy a walk around the orchards at Brogdale Collections, but you might need to wrap up warm and wear your wellies!
With no leaves on the trees, now’s a great opportunity for some bird watching and we also have more than our fair share of all kinds of wildlife at Brogdale Farm. Did you know that Brogdale Collections has a Wildlife Garden with a pond and homes for insects which the kids will enjoy.
To tour the orchards, you will need an Orchard Pass from Brogdale Collections. These cost £13.50 for an adult, £6 for a child or £28 for a family. Passes can be bought online at Brogdale Collection’s website. Click here for details.
If all this talk about being outdoors makes you want to work on your own garden, now is the best time of year to plant a fruit tree. They are always willing to advise you on any questions you may have about how to select the best tree for your garden. – you can reach them on 01795 531888 or visit them at their customer centre at Brogdale Farm.
Another great way of beating the January blues is to give your wellbeing a real boost. Why not make an appointment with Country Practice?
