Wonky Parsnip Market Garden Tour
2nd August 2026
Laura, the owner of The Wonky Parsnip, will be present to lead you on a culinary and horticultural journey through the Wonky Parsnip market garden.
Spend the morning exploring the 15 acres across five fields where Laura cultivates over 150 varieties of produce. She will provide insights into her unique methods, which are designed to suit the farm, her customers, and minimize the need for artificial interventions. We will wonder through the pumpkin patch, perennial veg, annual veg, squash courgettes and beans and end up at tomato town and the plant nursery.
As you taste both traditional and unusual varieties of produce, you'll quickly realize this is not your typical farm. Specialising in flavour over yield, your taste buds are in for a delight. For those interested in growing your own food at home, bring a camera and a notebook, and feel free to ask any questions you have.
The tour concludes with a cold drink in a picturesque area of the farm near the polytunnels, which are cultivating some exceptionally rare heritage tomatoes that are extraordinary. Feel free to taste some and learn how we maximize a small space to grow a large quantity of tomatoes each year.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase plants from Wonky Parsnip's small plant nursery, they take cash or card.
