Brogdale Farm has applied for planning for a mixed-use development comprising a nursery school and up to 25 flexible workshop/business units.
Brogdale Farm is a successful commercial centre and unique in that it provides a broad selection of commercial units to let, based in very picturesque countryside and orchards. It is popular because, despite its rural location, it is a short drive from Faversham town centre and within very easy reach of the A2, A299 and M2 transport links.
Given its excellent location and the growing population in the Faversham area, Brogdale Farm’s management team believe it makes great sense to build on and enhance the services currently offered at the Brogdale Farm hub, whilst also providing much needed facilities to the public. Therefore, a planning application has been submitted for a mixed-use development comprising a nursery school and up to 25 flexible workshop/business units.
The proposed development offers an exciting new opportunity for job creation and nursery provision to create a supporting hub to the existing services and facilities offered by Brogdale Farm to serve Faversham.
It is proposed to erect up to 25 units (approximately 95sqm in size) that will provide flexible employment workshops for commercial, business, and agricultural/rural uses.
The new nursery facility will comprise of up to 360sqm of non-residential educational use and include up to 465sqm of secure external space for outdoor play and learning. The plans for the nursery demonstrate a single storey scale of development which features vertical redwood cladding.
The application has been validated and copies of the proposed plans and supporting material will subsequently be made available online via Swale Borough Council’s planning portal. LPA Reference 20/505877/OUT
