January is often a quiet time at Brogdale Farm before our busy Spring arrives and, of course, lockdown #3 is having a big impact too.
But we’re still picking up news from some of our tenants and with Valentine’s Day fast approaching, here’s an update on life at Brogdale Farm.
Although events and workshops at Brogdale Collections are on hold, the orchards remain open for socially distanced walks for local pass-holders.
Winter is actually a great time to visit as there is still fruit on the trees and windfalls, which attract plenty of wildlife. Also, the lack of foliage makes bird spotting much easier and our Farm is host to an impressive number of winter birds.
For people that live locally, Brogdale Collections is a good option for a lockdown walk. There’s plenty of space to remain socially distant; ample parking; a playground for younger children and even a wildlife garden too.
You need an orchard pass to visit, which gives you year-round access to the orchards. For more details see their website.
The Charity is also looking for volunteers to help them in 2021, including someone to chair their board of trustees. If you have some spare time on your hands and fancy spending time outdoors helping at this important horticultural charity, this might be right up your street. There’s more information on the News Page on their website.
⭐ Gift Idea ⭐

Clarke’s Gas Services is one business that’s always busy this time of year. In this wintry weather, we all rely on our heating to keep us toasty and warm. Particularly with so many people working from home during lockdown.
If you need a reliable, experienced and genuinely lovely gas engineer to help with your heating and hot water maintenance or repairs – give them a call. Contact details are on our tenant page here.
PS. We’re loving their new plant displays at Brogdale Farm.
