One of our tenants, Age UK Medway, is working  hard during this pandemic to provide support to older people throughout Medway and Faversham.
Here’s an update on their current activities and how you can contact them for support.

Emergency response

Age UK Medway have continued to work tirelessly through the coronavirus pandemic, continuing to provide care and support to the older people of Medway and Faversham. Since the start of the pandemic, they have made over 40,000 homecare visits, delivered over 18,000 freshly cooked meals with help from Kent Fire & Rescue Firefighters and kept their vital day services and Dementia centre open where they could, working with their local authority to ensure they are Covid-19 secure.

Care Angels

Age UK Medway are currently running a service called Care Angels, where they support older people who need help with their shopping, prescriptions, housework or even just some company, completely free of charge.

Activity Packs

Age UK Medway produced their very own activity packs which are packed full of activities, quizzes, adult colouring, recipes, and even a pen pal programme to help keep older people busy and connected during times of isolation. These are still available to purchase, call 01634 572616 or email enquiries@ageukmedway.org.uk for more information.
