Like the rest of the country, Brogdale’s businesses are having to adapt to accommodate the new Covid19 laws and measures. Unfortunately, that’s had a massive impact on a number of our tenants and we all want to make sure they are still there for us all when all this is over.
Here’s a quick run down on how some of Brogdale’s businesses are currently operating and ways you can continue to use their services and offer your support.
Brogdale is home to the National Fruit Collections and has hundreds of acres of beautiful, rare and heritage orchards. These remain open to anyone who has a Brogdale Orchard Pass. As long as you pre-book your visit, access to the site is available all year round.
Brogdale is also renowned for its rural courses and workshops which are still being planned for next year. These are a great idea for Christmas presents – or to treat yourself!

This popular local craft brewery is still open for business – continuing to brew and deliver fine cask ales to pubs across Kent.
Their exciting news is that they are launching a new service via their website selling bottles, mini-kegs and merchandise direct to the customer. What a fantastic idea for stocking up on your Christmas booze, or as Christmas gifts for the beer-lovers in your life.
Customers are also welcome to order and collect direct from the brewery on weekdays, but they need to call ahead on 01795 597743.

The Tiddly Pomme shop in Brogdale Marketplace sells fresh fruit, vegetables and other food along with a great range of artisan ciders, fresh fruit juices, local beers and wines.
Using fruit from Brogdale Collections, Tiddly Pomme make their own apple and pear juices as well as fresh Woolly Pig cider.
The shop also has a lovely selection of cards, books and gifts.
Tiddly Pomme remains open and is a great place to visit for your fruit and veg as well as some lovely Christmas present ideas too.

Clarke’s Gas Services provides a range of plumbing and heating services across Kent – including:
They are currently operating as normal with six months’ worth of PPE to see them through the winter. They also have a new engineer starting, so they are still able to attend to their clients’ needs.
They have stringent measures in place including regular sanitisation of vans, work areas and gloves; a range of face coverings and of course abiding by social distancing rules.
The office is 8:30-4:30 every weekday to take calls and booked visits.

This wonderful clinic provides a wide range of treatments that are healthy for your body and soul. Although currently closed, you can still book treatments for after lockdown which might be just the tonic you need after lockdown has ended.
The Country Practice also sells beautifully wrapped gift vouchers which are a wonderful idea for Christmas presents.

Run by a family business, they specialise in delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. They are also becoming famous for their fabulous Sunday roast dinners!
Before lockdown they were planning to open for Christmas drinks and dinners. Fingers crossed they will still be able to go ahead in December.
